WEBSITE MACHINE: A TULSA WEBSITE SNAPSHOT Original audit: August 2026. Saved-data reanalysis: September 19, 2026. WHAT WE MEASURED The saved audit contains 220 website listings for trades in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area: contractors (75), roofers (47), HVAC services (36), landscapers (21), electricians (21) and plumbers (20). All sampled records already listed a URL. This sample cannot tell us how many businesses have no website. The original study describes random selection from 1,123 website-listed records in Overture Maps release 2026-08-19.0, within longitude -96.30 to -95.60 and latitude 35.90 to 36.35. The saved data does not include the sampling seed or complete frame, so we cannot independently reproduce that selection. RESULTS USED ON OUR SITE 220 saved observations. 151 returned HTTP 200 and were included in our HTML-link calculation. 57 of those 151 had no tel: phone link detected: 57 / 151 = 37.748%, rounded to 38%. We excluded 10 HTTP 202 responses because their page content was not verified. We also excluded 59 records with no saved response status, including malformed URLs and network/access errors. We did not classify them all as broken sites. LIMITS This is one city and a historical snapshot, not a nationwide estimate or a new September crawl. The observations concern retrieved HTML, not a completed customer journey. JavaScript can add links that a basic HTML check misses. HTTP 200 does not by itself establish that a response is a business page rather than a challenge. Missing tel: markup is not proof that customers cannot call. Page bodies and screenshots are not available in this saved dataset. We have not measured lost customers, revenue, willingness to pay or healthcare outcomes. HOW TO CHECK THE ARITHMETIC Anonymous measurement rows are at /research/tulsa-2026-anonymous.csv on this site. Select http_status = 200. There are 151 rows; 57 have phone_link = False. The 220 rows retain the saved order, category and recorded measurement fields. Business names and URLs are omitted. This permits arithmetic checking, not independent verification of the original websites. OUR INTERPRETATION An existing website is worth checking for clear services, mobile readability and an easy contact action. An automated flag is a reason to look more closely, not proof a site needs replacement. We do not apply these percentages to other cities, industries or countries.
