This policy explains how Website Machine and Tirith Technology LLC collect, use, protect and share personal information when you visit our website, request a site check, communicate with our team, buy a service or use a website or account that we manage for you.
Website Machine is a brand of Tirith Technology LLC. Tirith Technology LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us, including your name, business name, email address, phone number, website address, project details, messages, intake answers, content and files you provide, and records of our conversations.
When you buy a service, Stripe collects your payment details on a payment page it hosts. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive and keep payment, invoice and subscription status and related Stripe references so that we can activate and manage your service.
We may collect public business information, such as a business name, category, address, phone number and public website, when researching businesses that may benefit from our services.
Our website and infrastructure may record technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and error or security logs.
2. How we use information
- Answer enquiries and provide the free site check you request.
- Prepare proposals, onboard clients, build and host websites, and handle change requests and support.
- Create and manage orders, payments, subscriptions, receipts and account records.
- Communicate about a project, service, payment, security issue or policy change.

We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate the business, including payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting, databases, domain registration, security and professional advisers. They may use the information only to provide those services or meet their legal obligations.
Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy. Domain registries and registrars may require registrant information, although we request privacy or redaction services where available.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or systems, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a sale, financing or reorganisation of the business. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. Cookies and analytics
The public Website Machine marketing site does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Our hosting and security providers may use essential technologies and server logs to deliver and protect the site.
If you follow a link to Stripe or another third-party service, that service may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policy. If we add non-essential analytics or advertising technology later, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law.
5. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and prospect information while we respond, follow up and maintain an appropriate business record. We keep client, project, payment and support records while we provide the service and afterwards for accounting, tax, dispute, security and legal purposes.
Retention periods vary with the type of record and applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it or securely retain it only where law requires.
6. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tirith Technology LLC is based in the United States and works with team members and service providers in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country. We use appropriate contractual and operational safeguards where required.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we hold, receive a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. You may also ask us to stop sales or marketing messages at any time.

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
