Website Machine Terms of Service
These terms apply when you buy a website build, a website migration, managed hosting or the zero-down plan from Website Machine. For card checkout, you accept them by ticking the box on the payment page before you pay. For bank transfer, confirm your written quote and these terms before sending payment. Please read them before you pay.
Máquina Web, our Spanish-language brand for Mexico, has its own terms at https://maquinaweb.mx/terminos/.
1. Who provides and bills the service
Website Machine is a brand of Tirith Technology LLC. Services are provided and billed by Tirith Technology LLC.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe hosts the payment page and holds your card details. We never see or store your card number; we keep only the payment records Stripe reports to us. Where your written quote specifies bank transfer, staff provide the payment instructions and confirm cleared funds.
Charges appear on your card statement under the name of Tirith Technology, not Website Machine. Receipts and invoices are issued in the name of Tirith Technology LLC and identify the Website Machine service you bought.
2. What you are buying
You buy one of the following. The price is the one shown on the payment page or in your accepted written quote; the current price list is on our website.
- New website. A one-time build fee plus managed hosting billed monthly. The build fee and the first month of hosting are charged when you pay; hosting then renews every month.
- Upgrade or migration. A one-time fee to rebuild or migrate an existing website, plus managed hosting billed monthly. The migration fee and the first month of hosting are charged when you pay; hosting then renews every month.
- Zero down. No upfront build payment. US: $66/month for 18 months, then $26/month hosting. Nigeria: ₦59,000/month for 18 months, then ₦29,000/month hosting (section 4).
Managed hosting continues monthly until it is cancelled (section 5). Card subscriptions renew automatically; bank-transfer customers send each monthly payment using the agreed instructions.
Paying does not start the build by itself. For new sites, our launch window is 24–48 elapsed hours, starting once your intake, required materials and domain access are complete and the scope is approved. We confirm the start and launch times before we begin. Publishing requires your approval of the preview. Time waiting for your feedback or third-party domain changes pauses the clock, and we confirm any revised launch time with you. Migrations and larger projects follow a separately agreed schedule. During the build you receive a private link and one focused review round for corrections and final details.
3. Your website and your domain
The finished website and its domain name are your property. Your content, including your texts, photos and logo, stays yours.
We register and hold the domain name on your behalf so that you do not have to open an account with a domain registrar. This is an administrative convenience for you and does not give us ownership of it. Registration of a standard domain name is included in your purchase, and we keep it renewed while you host with us. If the name you choose carries a premium registration price, we tell you in writing before you approve the build.
At any time, on your written request, we transfer the domain registration into your own name within five business days at no charge, whether or not you continue to host with us.
If you stop hosting with us, the domain and the website remain yours, and we provide you with a copy of the website files on request.
4. The zero-down plan: 18 build payments, then hosting
For new US zero-down agreements, you pay $66 per month for 18 months from your first payment. Each payment covers $40 toward the build and $26 for hosting. The financed build total is $720, including a $51 markup on the $669 upfront build price. Hosting payments do not reduce the build balance.
For new Nigerian zero-down agreements, you pay ₦59,000 per month for 18 months. Each payment covers ₦30,000 toward the build and ₦29,000 for hosting. The financed build total is ₦540,000, including a ₦41,000 markup on the ₦499,000 upfront build price. Hosting does not reduce the build balance. Payments use staff-confirmed bank transfers under the written quote; no automatic debit is implied.
You may ask to end the plan early. The unpaid build balance remains due: the financed build total ($720 in the US or ₦540,000 in Nigeria) minus build payments already collected. Future hosting is excluded. Hosting ends at the end of the month you have already paid for.
From month 19, the monthly amount drops to $26 in the US or ₦29,000 in Nigeria for hosting, with no additional final build payment. Unpaid invoices remain due; the scheduled rate change does not forgive missed build payments. Hosting can be cancelled at the end of a paid month (section 5). Existing agreements retain their original accepted terms.
5. Cancelling hosting
To cancel managed hosting, contact us at hello@websitemachine.co or through the person who looks after your account. Hosting ends at the end of the month you have already paid for; your site stays online until then. Fees already paid for the current month are not refunded unless we agree otherwise (section 6).
Managed hosting bought with a new website or a migration has no minimum term. The zero-down build balance is governed by section 4.
We may end your hosting for non-payment after the steps in section 7. We give you written notice before the end date.
Whenever hosting ends, for any reason, section 3 applies: the domain and the website are yours, and we transfer the domain and hand over the files on request.
6. Refunds
Refund requests are decided case by case by Tirith Technology LLC.
We consider a full refund of the build or migration fee only if you ask before the build starts. After the build has started, we do not refund the build or migration fee in full.
Monthly hosting fees already paid are not refunded when you cancel; your site stays online until the end of the paid month instead.
If we refund a build or migration fee in full, your order is cancelled and the hosting that was part of it ends.
A card refund goes back to the card you paid with and usually appears on your statement within five to ten business days. For a bank-transfer refund, we confirm the return method and timing with you.
7. If a payment fails
If a monthly card payment fails, Stripe retries your card over the following days and may email you a link to update your card and pay the open invoice. For an unpaid bank transfer, we contact you to arrange the outstanding payment.
We will contact you to help sort it out. Your site stays online while we do.
If the payment is still outstanding after the retries, we may suspend your hosting or end it for non-payment. Either is a separate decision, and we tell you in writing before it takes effect. Once the open invoice is paid, the service continues as normal.
We never ask for your card number by phone, email or message. Every card entry happens on a page hosted by Stripe.
8. Accepting these terms and contacting us
For card checkout, you accept these terms when you tick the box on the payment page before you pay. For bank transfer, confirm your written quote and these terms before sending payment. You can read them at any time at https://websitemachine.co/terms/.
